Craps is a fast-paced dice game typically played at a casino table. Players bet on the outcome of the roll of two six-sided dice.

Basic Gameplay

Come-Out Roll

The game begins with the “shooter” (a player rolling the dice) making a come-out roll.

  • If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, it’s a win (called a “natural”).
  • If they roll a 2, 3, or 12, it’s a loss (called “craps”).
  • Any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) becomes the point.
Point Phase

If a point is established, the shooter keeps rolling.

  • The goal is to roll the point number again before rolling a 7.
  • Rolling the point = win. Rolling a 7 = loss (“seven-out”).
Bets

Players can place various bets, but the most common are:

  • Pass Line: Bet that the shooter will win.
  • Don’t Pass Line: Bet against the shooter.
  • Other side bets include Come, Don’t Come, Place Bets, and Proposition Bets.

It’s a social and exciting game with lots of cheering and fast action.
